El día 4 de febrero se celebran las elecciones a la Intendencia del Concejo del distrito de Cóbano y desde Santa Teresa Hoy solicitamos entrevistas a los cuatro candidatos para ayudar a la población a ejercer el voto informado.
Los candidatos son:
Carlos Luis Rodríguez, por el Partido de Liberación Nacional. Lea aquí su Plan de Gobierno.
Favio López, por el Partido Unidad Social Cristiana.
Ronny Montero, por el Partido Nueva República. Lea aquí su Plan de Gobierno.
Silvia Lobo, por el Partido Liberal Progresista. Lea aquí su Plan de Gobierno.
De los cuatro candidatos, tres nos respondieron afirmativamente y estuvimos grabando entrevistas en las últimas semanas. Del candidato Favio López no recibimos ni respuesta afirmativa ni el Plan de Gobierno tras solicitarlo.
Todos los candidatos respondieron las mismas preguntas y dentro del mismo tiempo estipulado, un minuto.
A continuación, las entrevistas:
Carlos Luis Rodríguez nos recibió en su residencia de Cóbano y en sus respuestas resaltó la importancia de lo que él llama “el trípode” sobre el que trabajará, que incluye la protección del ambiente, el bienestar social y desarrollo sostenible.
Con Ronny Montero nos reunimos en la Reserva Natural Oropopo, enclave único en el que resaltó la necesidad de un cambio, trabajar desde el primer día, respetar la legalidad e impulsar el turismo.
Silvia Lobo nos recibió en su casa en Montezuma y en sus respuestas hizo hincapié en la importancia de escuchar a los vecinos, el ordenamiento territorial, la protección de la cultura costarricense y luchar contra la corrupción.
Gracias a los candidatos que sacaron tiempo para responder nuestras preguntas. Siendo Santa Teresa Hoy el único medio informativo en la zona, estamos comprometidos a brindar información imparcial a toda la población.

Three of the candidates for Mayor granted interviews to Santa Teresa Hoy
On February 4, the elections for the Mayor of the Council of the district of Cóbano will be held and from Santa Teresa Hoy we requested interviews with the four candidates to help the population exercise informed voting.
The candidates are:
Carlos Luis Rodríguez, for the National Liberation Party. Read his Government Plan here.
Favio López, for the Christian Social Unity Party.

Out of the four candidates, three answered affirmatively and we have been recording interviews during the past weeks. We did not receive an affirmative response from candidate Favio López nor the Government Plan after requesting it.

Carlos Luis Rodríguez received us at his residence in Cóbano and in his responses he highlighted the importance of what he calls “the tripod” on which he will work, which includes environmental protection, social well-being and sustainable development.
We met with Ronny Montero in the Oropopo Natural Reserve, a unique enclave in which he highlighted the need for change, working from day one, respecting the law and promoting tourism.
Silvia Lobo received us at her house in Montezuma and in her responses she emphasized the importance of listening to neighbors, territorial planning, the protection of Costa Rican culture and fighting corruption.
Thanks to the candidates who made time to answer our questions. Being the only press media in the area, Santa Teresa Hoy has the commitment to bring impartial information to everyone.
