Celebremos juntos que existen otras formas, otras maneras que son infinitas las posibilidades.
Les traigo un ejemplo de emprendedurismo costarricense, ubicado en la Provincia de Puntarenas, en Cóbano, En Montezuma, el Super Montezuma, donde tuve la oportunidad de conversar con Mauricio uno de los visionarios que lideró el desafío de cambiar un patrón implementado desde los inicios de la fundación de la empresa (21 años de operación),eliminar las bolsas plásticas que se le entregaban a los clientes.
Disfruté mucho de saber que fue un impulso de los administradores de la tienda, quienes confiaron en que podían intentarlo y se lanzaron a lo desconocido, atrayendo con ellos la confianza de los propietarios quienes accedieron a la posibilidad de evolucionar. Pese a los miedos y retos tomaron el coraje para experimentar, cambiar de estilo, y ahora de convertirse en modelos ejemplo para toda la región, la provincia, el país y el planeta entero….
Si, la fuerza está en la disciplina, en la constancia y en el tomar una decisión.
Cómo podremos saber si no lo intentamos, nos quedaremos en lo conocido y en lo rutinario sin abrir la posibilidad a una nueva experiencia?
Adaptarse a las nuevas formas y asumir las consecuencias de esos cambios.
En ese proceso Mauricio nos contó, que también eliminaron la venta de plásticos desechables y pajillas, disponen de materiales biodegradables o de papel, además de eso construyeron un cajón para la recolección de materias primas reutilizables y reciclables.
Como otra consecuencia positiva incrementa la abundancia para otro emprendimiento local, quienes realizan bolsas de Tela reutilizables, con la intención de brindar el servicio e inspirar al cliente a traer la bolsa la próxima vez.
Esta hazaña la iniciaron en Marzo de 2019, una colaboración en equipo con todo el personal ya que como todo cambio requiere apertura, creatividad y ajuste, ante lo desconocido.
Al momento son 5 años que llevan desde que tomaron una posición que traza la línea, revolucionaria, vanguardista, para cambiar la historia de un pueblo.
Acompáñame a felicitarles, a tomar su ejemplo y transmitirlo como modelo a seguir, para salir de la quietud y cambiar los patrones.
Desde donde sea que se analice, una decisión como ésta es un ganar ganar, la empresa dejó de invertir 6 Millones de colones al año por la compra de bolsas plásticas…
Me inspira y se me agranda el corazón, saber de personas sensibles, que desean contribuir para el cambio, que son determinados, con enfoque y visión, una distinción muy clara con respecto a quienes opinan pero no ejecutan o se dan por vencidos en unas cuantas semanas.
¿Qué se necesita para accionar? ¿Regresar al pasado? Mauricio me contó que en su familia todo era reutilizable. El recuerda a su Abuelo llevando las compras en sacos, bolsas de manta y de yute…Sabios esos señores y ¿dónde está nuestra sabiduría?
Sí, si es posible, tomemos un momento para reflexionar, para salirnos de la rueda del Hamster y observar desde afuera.
¿Qué estamos haciendo? ¿Cuáles son nuestras decisiones? ¿Cómo estamos contribuyendo para el bienestar del colectivo?
¿Qué venimos haciendo por años y qué queremos cambiar?
¿Qué te detiene de innovar y tomar el riesgo?
¿Cómo afrontas tus miedos? Tus miedos te dan el discernimiento, te impulsan para atreverte, a tomar el riesgo, a tener el coraje de alzar tu voz.
¿Cómo te Re-inventas?
Revisa tus creencias, asegúrate que estás de acuerdo con ellas, de que contribuyen a la creación de tus sueños y sueña global…Aplica una responsabilidad radical a tu existencia, vive con intención, estamos acá para transformar, para inspirar, para disfrutar y evolucionar.
Creating new models that make the previous model obsolete…

I write to acknowledge, to celebrate and recognize with all of you that there are other ways, actually the possibilities are endless.
I bring you an example of Costa Rican entrepreneurship and leadership for change. The Super Montezuma located in the Province of Puntarenas, in Cóbano, in Montezuma. I had the opportunity to talk to Mauricio, one of the visionaries who led the challenge of changing the pattern implemented from the founding of the company (21 years of operation). The challenge was to eliminate the plastic bags that were delivered for free to customers. I really enjoyed knowing that it was an impulse from the store administrators, who trusted that they could try it and launched into the unknown. The employees received the confidence and support of the owners who agreed to the possibility of evolving. Despite their fears they showed courage to experiment, to change the old behavior. Super Montezuma has become a role model for the entire region, the province, the country and the entire planet… without knowing it.
Strength is found in discipline and perseverance and in making the correct decision
How can we know if we don’t try, we will remain familiar and routine without opening up the possibility of a new model?
Adjusting to new ways and accepting the consequences of those changes is how we move forward with a new model.
In this process, Mauricio told us that they also eliminated the sale of disposable plastics and straws. They only have biodegradable or paper materials available, in addition, they built a drawer for the collection of reusable and recyclable raw materials.
As another positive consequence, a local business who makes reusable fabric bags for the Supermarket, has inspired customers to bring the bag next time.
This inspiration and adventure began in 2019, a team collaboration of all the staff. In the beginning, it was complex and required openness, creativity and adjustment, in the face of the unknown. It has been 4 years since they took Stand, revolutionary, avant-garde, to change life.
Join me to congratulate them, support them, to take their example and transmit it as a role model to get out of the inaction and change the old patterns to new sustainable models.
In every way it is analyzed, a decision like this is a win-win. The company stopped investing 6 millions colones ($11k) a year for the purchase of plastic bags. It inspires me and expands my heart knowing about sensitive people who want to contribute to change. They are determined, with focus and vision. It is a very clear distinction with respect to those who give their opinion but do not execute or give up in a few weeks.
What is needed to act? Return to the Past? Mauricio teold me that everything in his family was reusable, he remembers his grandfather carrying the purchases in sacks, blanket bags, and yute. These gentlemen were wise. Where is our wisdom?
Yes, it is possible. Take a moment to reflect, to get out of the Hamster’s wheel and observe from the outside.
What are we doing? What are our decisions? How are we contributing to the well-being of the collective?
What have we been doing for years and what do we want to change?
What stops you from innovating and taking risks?
How do you face your fears? Your fears give you discernment, they drive you to dare, to take risks, to have the courage to raise your voice.
How do you re-invent yourself?
Review your beliefs, make sure you agree with them, that they contribute to the creation of your dreams, and maximize your dreams. Dream globally…
